Friday Smiles 204

Welcome to my blog.  I've been having a "dry spell" AGAIN.  What better way to jump back in but to join Annie for Friday Smiles HERE.

I have told myself that I will not work in my Craft Room until I have the rest of the house settled.  Oh, what a mistake that is!
The current state of the Craft Room
Despite the chaos this photo really makes me smile.  I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.  There are those three large boxes in the closet that I need to go through and then I will move my printer there and that will be "computer central."

Snow at the beginning of the week.  You can see the pond with all the grasses around it.  I will need to do some major gardening come spring.
My nephew was the high scorer in the varsity basketball game Monday.  He scored 18 points!

Show us what made you smile this week.  It's so nice to join in and share a bit of my life.

Friday Smiles 196

Hello everyone.  I'm joining in with Annie to share this week's smiles.  You can check out what everyone has to be happy about HERE .

I've been busy trying to get settled into my new home.  I'm so excited that I will have my very own designated craft room!  The house is all on one level, which is the primary reason for moving.  No more stairs is a good thing!

This week I'm sharing a photo of Katie.  She usually runs out of the room when I pick up my phone to take a picture; she's just camera shy I guess.  This time she didn't see it coming!  She was so exhausted from watching the movers and me unpacking.
The dogs love their new backyard.  It's much larger than what they had before.  Not to mention the smells of wildlife such as skunks, raccoons and deer!
In the evenings the lighting out there is terrible.  A friend told me about collars that glow in the dark.  I think I might give those a try.
Here's one of the neighbors.  Isn't he just beautiful!

I will try to get around to see what's bringing smiles to your face, although it may not be until the weekend.  I have a load of errands to run today!

WOYWW - The Beginnings of a Good Thing!

Hello everyone.  I'm joining in with Julia for WOYWW.  Go to her blog HERE  to join in the fun or have a good snoop at craft spaces all around the world!

Since I last joined in I sold the condo, bought the house, painted the entire house and redid the hardwood floors and moved in.  I'll leave that for another post as I don't want to get out of hand!

I will show you the beginnings of my craft room.  Yep!!  A real designated craft room.  I've ordered two bookshelves, a desk and a turquoise chair on wheels.  The desk is also on wheels and will not be located right in front of the bookshelves.  I will order probably four more bookshelves to fill out the space and maybe have one bookshelf in the guest bedroom.
Most of the house is the same color of yellow.   It looks totally different in the rooms because of the lighting.

I am so excited that this actually coming together.  The floors are original hardwood floors that were put in when the house was built (1950s).

I'm not sure where my laptop is -- hopefully I'll find it so I can visit.  (Writing this post somewhere where I shouldn't.....)  As always, I will do my best to visit those that visit me (please leave your number) and those that end in the same number as me.  It probably won't be until the weekend before I get around.

Don't blink.  This is the second week in a row that I'm joining in with Julia at Stamping Ground.   I'm happy to be among you once again.  Although with the move coming up I may skip a few weeks but I'm going to try my best not to.

Here's my finished cowl.  I had a dear friend, Monique, model it for me.

I'm happy with how it turned out.  This will be going to Warm Hearts Yarn for sale.  I have several cowls and a few scarves that I'll be dropping off next weekend.  I found a very easy pattern for fingerless mitts so plan to knit some of those up while I take a break from packing.

It's official (birds singing)!  I close on the sale of the condo on Monday, October 31.  YAY.  I will now be in a one level place WITH a craft room.  Honestly, I think those two things alone bring me so much joy.  I'll be doing some posts with what I do around the house.  The closing date on the house is Friday, November 4.  The underwriter hasn't given my lender the appraisal yet.  Hopefully we'll be on target.  In between I will be renting my condo back from the new owner.

In the meantime, I will do my best to visit those that visit me (please leave your number) and those that end in the same number as me.
