Friday Smiles

I, know, it's been AGES!  I thought what better way to return to blogland than to post a Friday Smile!  I'm linking up with Annie at  A Stitch In Time

Go on over to her site and see what everyone else is sharing.

I've been home recouperating from a total knee replacement.  I'm still doing physical therapy twice a week and hopefully will return to work at the end of this month.

Here's my smile from this week.
This is my little Muffin.  She had just woken up from a nap and turned and looked at me as if to say  "can't you keep your voice down?"  Bless her.  She's my little expensive rescue.  She has so many allergies, all environmental, and was recently diagnosed with Cushing's disease.  Her body produces too much cortisol.  She's also gone blind in one eye.  She's still full of life and love.  Lucky for her she ended up with a softie!

I'm not sure exactly how "active" I'll be in blogland but hopefully I'll be ramping up over the next couple of weeks.

Peace,
Kay

Poor you! I really do hope you make a good quick recovery and that things aren't too painful for you.
Muffin is adorable and no doubt it's all credit to you for looking after her so well. Maybe it was fated that she came to you.
Take care and you'll soon be line dancing!!

Ah, Kay, I am so glad to hear you are on the mend. My darling mum who had three knee replacements always said knees were the hardest, most bending with weight bearing of any joint... She also said physio is the key to best recovery, but guess you know that.
How cute is your Muffin :)
Am not blogging at mo but saw your post and wanted to say hi, hope to post in day or two.

Hi Kay, Muffin is too cute and yes lucky to have you. Hope your new knee recuperation goes to plan. Long day (nearly 10 hours) for us but we have arrived safely with plants and cats in good order. My garden here is suffering so I'm glad it's only 3 weeks till the final pack and move. Hope you're enjoying your weekend Robyn

It sounds like Muffin has the perfect owner . . . poor little thing . . . she is just falling apart like the rest of us. Like they say, "growing old is not for sissies". Here's to a great few weeks of recouping. I know you'll be your old self soon and even better :)

Wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery from your knee operation, Kay! Your little Muffin is adorable! They rule the roost, don't they. Cats are worse than dogs for that.

Glad you enjoyed my "under wraps" project, lol!! Thanks for your lovely comment - so encouraging and upbeat. As for attitude, I've got plenty. I enjoy seeing the funny side of things and have a quirky sense of humour and I am sure this is getting me through everything! Thank you for your good wishes for my chemo on Fri. After that I will be MORE than half way through yayy! I have every anticipation (and intention) of reaching my goal of a cancer free life after this finishes in October. I have too much to do, and too much to give, for it to be otherwise.

Hi Kay, nice to see you back. I hope you continue to recover well and will soon be 'ramping up' your blogland activities. Muffin looks super cute even if she did object to a rude awakening :) My Bonnie is also an expensive rescue but I wouldn't be without her. Hugs, Elizabeth xx
